Christmas Chocolates in Child Labour

Christmas Chocolates

Shock Horror!

Ferrero Rocher chocs are pretty popular at Chrissy time, but this new article is claiming that the hazelnuts are being picked by children as young as 11. Ferrero uses about 30% of its hazelnuts from Turkey and the article is pointing out these statistics:

According to the most recent government records available, in 2012 there were an estimated 900,000 children working in different industries, including farming, across Turkey. Of these, 11,300 were between the ages of six and 14.”

Now Apex Office Centers does not use any nuts in their premises, its totally nut free, so you may be thinking that this article and Apex Office Centers can not be conflated? That’s never stopped us before and it won’t today. We do not even have any child labor. Children are not allowed into the hallowed corridors at Apex because they are noisy, dirty and ask distracting questions. Other Virtual Offices in the area have been known to have very young staff that seem to turnover very fast, giving a lack of continuity and low interaction between staff and clients.

With Apex Office Centers our staff have been with us for over 17 years, and many of our clients have too. We know our clients quirks and ways of doing things. This all makes the interactions easy.

A Virtual Office offers small companies the chance to work from home but have their phones answered by professional receptionists. This gives your clients a totally different impression than your home phone being answered by your dog.

We also collect your mail and inform you when a check arrives. Its little touches like these that make our clients feel comfortable at Apex.

Come and find out why. Call 916-677-4200 and ask for Sherri. Ask her how long she had been with the company, and if there are any children running around.
